In times of an intense urbanization process, conventional forms of housing seem to be in contradiction with the individual lifestyle of urban dwellers. Increasing anonymity of our living environment is therefore becoming a more and more common phenomenon.’Zeeën van Vrijheid‘ features a cross-section of work by pasel.künzel architects, realized in the Netherlands, Germany and in Latin-America.The projects focus on various scales of housing developments, highlighting in which way individual architecture can arise within a dense urban context. Even more, they illustrate how individual and yet urban qualities can be achieved by using a rigorous and sophisticated architecture.
